With hot summer days ahead, no one can help but dream of a getaway from a busy city and head over to the sea. Busan is most likely to cross when you hear the word ‘sea’, since it’s the biggest coastal city in all of South Korea. It is especially renowned for its fantastic nights sceneries thanks to the futuristic skyscrapers and millions of city lights. But did you know that it offers rather spectacular sceneries at night?
What is Starry Night in Busan?
Starry Night in Busan is a relatively new project created by Korea Tourism Organization. Its main purpose is to promote the concept of Busan sightseeing during night time. In collaboration with KTO, Interesting Korea recruited 20 foreign content creators residing in Korea and organized a special night tour which included some of Busan’s top landmarks. Let’s take a look at each destination you may want to include in your future Busan itinerary!
Where are the best spots to visit in the late evening?
Huinnyeol Culture Village
The place is particularly known for the photo spot inside the tunnel where the arch of the tunnel forms a frame with the view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge over the horizon. On your way to the tunnel, you will be welcomed with various murals and sculptures as the village is home to artists of different genres.
Yeongdo Cheonghak Reservoir Obvervatory
Saying that this observatory deck offers one of the best panoramic views of Busan would be an understatement. Visit here to admire the breathtaking view overlooking the Busanhangdaegyo Bridge and the Busanhang Port.
Dadaepo Beach: The Gouni Ecological Trail
If you’re looking for some nature scenery, this is the place to visit! We promise, you won’t be disappointed by Dadaepo’s famous sunsets. Enjoy the view of the gorgeous tall reeds and the mountains over the horizon you will see while walking down the trail.
Gamcheon Culture Village
It goes without saying that the village is one of the most famous landmarks in Busan. It is indeed outstanding thanks to its colorful houses on a coastal mountain, which is also why it sometimes goes by a nickname “Machu Picchu of Busan”. On the top of the village you will find its signature photo spot featuring the Little Prince from the famous fairytale.

During our trip we also dropped by Busan Cinema Center where the major cultural events such as the famous Busan International Film Festival take place. It’s an outdoor theater equipped with a large screen, 4,000 seats and computer programmed LED ceiling surfaces.
The Bay 101 Yacht Tour
The experience our creators enjoyed the most out of the entire field trip was taking a yacht tour from The Bay 101. The area is full of pubs, cafes and restaurants to spend a relaxing evening with a great futuristic view.
The yacht tour is an experience we highly recommend you to do at night or during sunset to catch the most spectacular views. Boarding pass prices range from 20,000 to 40,000 won and there are good deals also available if you make your reservation online. The highlight of the yacht tour was the fireworks show by one of the staff members!

Gwangalli Beach
The next day we headed to Gwangalli Beach because no Busan trip is complete without checking this place! The area surrounding the beach features various cafés and restaurants. Just go into any to sip your cup of coffee while enjoying the coastal view!
Museum DAH (One)
Regardless of whether you are into art or not, you will love this unique media gallery where visitors can experience a variety of themed spaces and exhibitions. Each installation utilizes the entire space including the floors making the entire experience even more incredible and engaging.

F1963
F1963 is a cultural complex combining a wide variety of activities: shopping, food, art galleries, and even music concerts! Outside you can stroll along the bamboo trail Sori, as well as relax on the F1963 Square (which sometimes serves as a venue for various cultural events).
