Although not as well-known as Seoul or Busan, Daegu is a city that you probably heard of at least once. It’s the fourth largest city following Incheon, and is sometimes, unfortunately, overlooked by tourists. Not only Daegu boasts rich history and ancient culture, you can also find many scenic spots to visit and fun activities to do with your friends and family. Apsan Mountain cable car + observatory
One of the signature attractions Daegu is recognized by is Apsan mountain.
The recommended and most fun way to get to the peak is taking a cable car. The ride takes about 5 minutes and offers breathtaking cityscapes for the passengers to enjoy. On the top you will find an observation deck and a café where you can grab some refreshments. The interval between cable cars is about 5-15 min so make sure you take it into consideration when planning your itinerary.
Apart from that, at the foot of the mountain there is even an entire street called Apsan café street known for the unique atmospheric cafes and restaurants where visitors can enjoy various food and beverages.

Suseong Lake
Location beloved by the residents – Suseong Lake is perfect for strolls and spending some time outdoors on a warm day. The area around the lake also serves as a venue for many events and life performances. Apart from that you can find a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, many of which overlook the lake offering a beautiful view – ideal for Instagram aesthetics!
You can enjoy the picturesque views, but if you’re looking to make your experience even more memorable, you can also rent a swan paddle boat and take a ride for 30 minutes at reasonable prices.

Dongseongno Spark
The busiest and the most vibrant street in Daegu, Dongseong-no has been one of the hot spots in the city for a while and now is attracting even more visitors than ever before. All because of the Spark mall, an 8-storey construction where you can find any sort of entertainment to your taste and preference. Make sure to check out the amusement park Sparkland situated on the top of the building with a collection of different rides suitable for children and adults! Also, don’t forget to take a ride on the Ferris wheel to see the panoramic view of the city as well. Seomun Night Market
It would not be exaggerated to say that when it comes to food – Daegu is one of the leading trend setters. Many restaurants and unique snacks, in fact, originated in Daegu and paved their way to Seoul later on. Seomun night market is therefore the first place to visit in Daegu if you’re a foodie. Apart from the food stalls offering diverse snacks and meals, night parties and other forms of entertainment can also be found at one of the biggest markets of the nation that stretches over 350 meters.
