The 57th Seorak Cultural Festival

The Seorak Cultural Festival, which began as the first Seorak Festival in 1966, is a historic local festival taking place in Seorak Sosa Temple, which originated from the ancient Jecheon event.

In the beginning, the Seoraksan Mountain Climbing Competition was held along with the Sanshin Festival, and it became the Seorak Cultural Festival, a comprehensive cultural festival, after various attempts and changes such as developing programs for residents’ participation over 50 years.
Street parades, civic song festivals, street performances, various cultural experience promotion booths and various experience events will be held at Seorak Rodeo Street in Sokcho. In addition, programs such as Seorak Sosa Temple, a climbing competition, and mountain-related exhibitions will be held in the area of Seoraksan Mountain.
